Third Place - Bayleigh Blackard
Anna Criswell, a fifth-grade student at Silverhill Elementary School has been named the first place winner in Baldwin EMC’s first ever Christmas Card Contest. Criswell’s design will be the featured image on Baldwin EMC’s Christmas cards.
Second place in the contest was awarded to Georgia Mills of Fairhope Intermediate School, and third place went to Bayleigh Blackard from Daphne East Elementary. All three of the winning students were presented with art supply kits from Baldwin EMC, and each of the designs will be featured in the December issue of Alabama Living magazine. Criswell’s teacher, Joyce Prestwood, will also be recognized with school supplies for her classroom.
Students in fifth grade classes in Baldwin EMC’s service area were asked to submit an original Christmas drawing. The cooperative received a large selection of entries, which were judged by Baldwin EMC employees. Karen Moore, Baldwin EMC’s vice president of member services and public relations said the contest was a fun way to get the community involved in one of Baldwin EMC’s yearly projects. “We are so pleased with the outcome, we would love to hold this contest again in the future,” Moore said. “Congratulations to each of the students who submitted a drawing; they were all outstanding.”
